Dublin Bus VA2 damaged by fire
Dublin Bus VA2, a Volvo B10B, suffered extensive fire-damage following an engine fault while in service at Coldcut Road, Clondalkin at about 8am on Wednesday 5th February 2003.
Contrary to various media reports following the incident, the bus was not operating Route 78A (or '78' as some claimed - a route which did not even exist at the time), but was on the 76B to Tallaght via Clondalkin.
The pictures below show the state of the bus minutes after the fire was extinguished, and its subsequent removal on a low-loader.
