Ex-CIÉ Leyland Atlantean D/DF839

Pictured above (Picture supplied with thanks to Dave O'Connor), D839 receives its final fittings at the Spa Road Works, Inchicore in 1979 and would spend its life working from the Conyngham Road Garage. Many of the Leyland engines of the era were to prove troublesome and led to many Atlanteans being retro-fitted with DAF units. Such buses were re-classified as DF.
This fine example of a bus is now preserved and still makes public appearances at bus rallies and other transport-related gatherings.
