Welcome to Adamstown. The railway station at Dublin's newest suburb is also the terminal point of its first full-time bus service, the 151. This route was introduced in March 2007, terminating at the nearby Grange Castle Business Park.
Now, the 151 extension to Adamstown is part of the plan to ensure that services to the area are introduced in tandem with - and even before - the population becomes established. The route continues to serve Grange Castle and from there progresses into Dublin City Centre, terminating at another new railway station at Docklands.
AX524 was the first 151 to operate from Adamstown (also home to the peak time 25X city centre express route) at 0830 on Sunday the 1st of July 2007.
AX524's driver; Ken from the Conyngham Road Depot, from where the 151 route operates.
As the area continues to grow and develop, we're likely to see a further strengthening of Dublin Bus services here, so watch this space!
